“Rick LaFond” Selected as next Abington Town Manager
ABINGTON, MA. Board of Selectmen voted 3-2 to offer the Abington Town Manager job to Carver Town Administrator Richard LaFond at their public meeting on Thursday, March 28th. Kevin Donovan, Tom Dion and Mike Franey voted for LaFond while Andy Burbine and Ken Coyle voted for Grady Miller. The Selectmen made their vote unanimous 5-0 for Mr. LaFond on the chairman's motion for reconsideration.
The Selectmen will now enter into contract negotiation with Mr. LaFond within a salary range of $125,000 to $140,000.
